Fayette County Detention Center investigating death of inmate

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — According to the Fayette County Detention Center, 27-year-old Alicia Ropp was found unresponsive in her cell around 8:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigators says corrections officers and first responders tried to revive her but were unsuccessful.

According to officials, an internal review of the incident is now underway.

Officials say Ropp was booked on February 25th for charges including probation violation and leaving the scene of an accident.
