Russell Springs woman arrested in connection to deputy’s murder
RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Russell Springs woman has been arrested in connection to the September shooting death of a Russell County deputy.
ABC station WBKO reports 38-year-old Linda Ashbrook was taken into custody Thursday following a months-long investigation into the death of Deputy Joshua Phipps. Phipps was killed while searching for a suspect who had fled from police.
Ashbrook faces multiple charges, including complicity to murder and hindering prosecution. She is being held at the Russell County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
