UPDATE: Large police presence reported on Armstrong Mill Road in Lexington after shots fired call

UPDATE: According to Lexington police, they received a call for an active shooter about 2:55 pm. However, upon investigation, it was determined that a male suspect had fired multiple rounds, striking a parked vehicle before leaving the scene.

Right now, police are searching for the suspects.

No victims have been located.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A significant police presence has been reported in the 1000 block of Armstrong Mill Road, located in the Jamestown area near the intersection with Tates Creek Road and in the vicinity of Trinity Hill Methodist Church.

Details about the nature of the investigation have not been released. ABC36 is in contact with Lexington Police to obtain more information.

Residents are advised to avoid the area to allow law enforcement to conduct their operations safely.
