Man arrested after allegedly firing guns inside home, injuring juvenile in Madison County
WACO, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Madison County man is in custody after allegedly firing multiple gunshots inside his home, injuring a juvenile.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 7, officers responded to a shots-fired complaint just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, at a residence on Irvine Road.
Investigators say 52-year-old Rodney D. Hunt, of Richmond, allegedly began firing two firearms inside the home, with three other people present at the time. A juvenile inside the home suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Madison County EMS. No other injuries were reported.
KSP troopers arrived and made contact with Hunt, who exited the residence before being taken into custody. Hunt is now in the Madison County Detention Center.
Hunt is facing multiple charges, including one count of first-degree assault (domestic violence) and eleven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment (discharge of a firearm).
