Police: Speed Likely Caused Crash

A driver was hospitalized early Wednesday morning after police said he wrapped his car around a tree.

It happened just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of Man O’ War Boulevard and Pink Pigeon Parkway.

Police said the driver lost control, slid sideways and slammed into a tree.

He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the passenger refused medical treatment.

They said speed was likely a factor in the crash.
