Anderson Co. schools to use metal detectors in the upcoming school year
ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky (WTVQ)- Anderson County Board of Education has put into place the use of metal detectors and random searches for middle and high school students starting after Labor Day.
The Board of Education says students will get a copy of the new policy and procedures and the district Code of Conduct for the 2018-2019 school year.
Parents will have the opportunity to have questions answered at school open houses, parent nights or by contacting school administration by phone or email.
The Anderson County Sheriff Department will provide staff training.
