Remembering Nicholasville Police Officer Anthony Ruggiero

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Funeral services have been announced for Officer Anthony Ruggiero, a nine-year veteran of the Nicholasville Police Department, who passed away Sunday at his home in Wilmore.

According to Betts and West Funeral Home, Ruggiero, 36, had a long history of serving his community beyond law enforcement. In addition to his time with the Nicholasville Police Department, Emergency Services noted that he previously worked with the fire department, served as a 911 dispatcher, and was a member of the National Guard.

Visitation for Officer Ruggiero is scheduled for Thursday, February 15, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Southland Christian Church on Harrodsburg Road in Nicholasville. His funeral will take place at noon on Friday, February 16, also at Southland Christian Church.
