Casey County Schools announce NTI day for Thursday, Friday

CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Casey County Schools say schools will be closed on Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th because of a high number of student and staff illness-related absences.

The district is using its seventh and eighth NTI days; the limit for the state is 10 NTI days.

Officials says all school facilities will undergo cleaning and sanitization to prepare for students and staff to return on Monday.

The district says Healthy Kids Clinic nurses and the nurse practitioner will be available at the CCHS gym from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday for all students and staff if needed.
