UK Baseball lands two on Preseason All-SEC teams

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Kentucky baseball has two All-SEC selections ahead of the 2025 season.
Seniors Devin Burkes and Robert Hogan both were named on the teams. Burkes, a catcher, is on the first team while Hogan, a pitcher, is on the second team.
Both played integral roles in the Wildcats’ College World Series berth last season, the program’s first.
Burkes, who is from Bradenton, Florida, is in his third year at UK. He has tallied 36 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs and 98 RBI in his career.
Hogan, who is from North Oak, Minnesota, appeared 24 times for UK in 2024 with a 1-0 record and a save.
He was key to the Cats’ Super Regional win versus Oregon State with 2.1 scoreless innings in the 3-2 Super Regional-clinching victory.
