Kentucky takes lead in final day of the Big Blue Slam blood drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Today is the final fay for the Big Blue Slam blood drive competition against Florida.

The Kentucky Blood Center says UK fans regained a slim lead over the Gators on Thursday after 301 people came out to donate.

KBC says Kentucky is now leading Florida 1,025 to 1,016.

Everyone who donates blood this week gets a free retro Big Blue Slam t-shirt.
