Two community forums planned to discuss gun violence prevention
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two community forums focused on gun violence are scheduled this week in Lexington, providing residents an opportunity to discuss concerns and seek support.
According to One Lexington, the first forum will take place Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Marksbury Family Branch Library on Versailles Road, specifically for the Cardinal Valley community. The second forum is set for Thursday at 6 p.m. on Sparta Court, in partnership with NAMI Lexington, and will focus on survivors of gun violence.
Officials say mental health professionals will be available at both events to offer resources and support. The forums are part of One Lexington’s ongoing efforts to address gun violence and promote community safety.
