Liam Coen accepts head coach position with Jaguars
JACKSONVILLE, Fl. (ABC 26 NEWS NOW) – The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Friday that Liam Coen would serve as the program’s new Head Coach.
Just a few days prior, Coen pulled himself from consideration for the Jaguars job, and proceeded to negotiate a contract extension with the Buccaneers that would have made him the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator.
He then changed his mind on the offered role, after Jacksonville parted ways with general manager Trent Baalke on Wednesday afternoon. Coen signed a five-year deal with the Jaguars.
Coen was with Tampa Bay for just one season.
