Firefighters Investigate Suspicious Fire
Firefighters are calling a fire that forced several people out of their apartments early Friday morning suspicious.
It started just before 3 a.m. at the Coolavin Apartments on West Sixth Street.
Firefighters said the fire was burning on the outside of a unit but then spread into the home and to the roof.
Nearby units were also damaged and those residents were forced out of their homes.
Firefighters said no one was inside the home where the fire started.
They said they believe a mattress was set on fire right outside of the home.
