State Police investigating death in Salyersville

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are investigating a death on Lick Branch Road in Salyersville in Magoffin County.

Troopers say at 7 p.m. Saturday they responded to a drowning with Fish and Wildlife officers.

They say they found 57-year-old Raymon Long from Salyersville, dead in a pond near his home.

A toxicology test and autopsy have been requested. Troopers say they don’t suspect foul play.
