Woman hit and killed identified as Graciela Valera DeJesus
RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Police have identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a bypass in Richmond on Tuesday night.
The Madison County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as 42-year-old Graciela Valera DeJesus.
According to investigators, the incident occurred near the intersection of the Eastern Bypass and South Killarney Lane, close to the Cookout restaurant. DeJesus was attempting to cross the road when she was hit by a vehicle.
Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No additional details have been released at this time.
