New crosswalk installed at Clays Mill Road and Harrodsburg Road to enhance pedestrian safety
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A new crosswalk has been installed at the intersection of Clays Mill Road and Harrodsburg Road, aiming to improve pedestrian safety in the area.
According to the City of Lexington, the crosswalk includes three sections equipped with walk signals. These include:
- One crossing for Clays Mill Road.
- Two crossings for Harrodsburg Road, separated by a pedestrian island.
City officials also announced that Lextran will relocate its bus stop at Cheryl Lane closer to the new crosswalk to provide more convenient access for riders.
This improvement is part of ongoing efforts to enhance pedestrian infrastructure and safety in Lexington.
