Two arrested for drug trafficking in Mount Sterling

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two people have been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a months-long investigation in Mount Sterling.

According to the Mount Sterling Police Department, 68-year-old Billy Tipton and 44-year-old Donna Robinson were taken into custody Friday at their home on East Locust Street. Officers say the two are accused of selling cocaine and fentanyl during the course of the investigation.

Investigators also revealed that two children were reportedly present in the home during some of the alleged drug transactions.

Tipton and Robinson face multiple charges, including drug trafficking. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
