Cousins headed to Golden State
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – NBA Free Agency only started on July 1, but it has already been a crazy couple of days.
For some former Cats, they now have new homes.
Unless stated otherwise, the following news was all reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Demarcus Cousins has signed a one-year deal to join the Golden State Warriors.
The deal is worth $5.3 million.
Cousins spent last season with the Pelicans, but his season was cut short by a torn Achilles.
He’s expected back some time around the beginning of 2019.
The Lakers renounced rights to forward Julius Randle making him a free agent.
He didn’t last on the market for long though.
The Pelicans snatched him up with a 2-year, $18 million deal.
Randle had played all four seasons of his career with the Lakers.
Randle basically traded spots with another former Cat.
Rajon Rondo signed a one-year deal with the Lakers.
He played last year with the Pelicans.
The deal is reported to be worth $9 million.
Yahoo! Sports reports Nerlens Noel is headed to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He has signed a two-year contract with the Thunder after spending last season with the Dallas Mavericks.
