Man arrested on several drug-related charges in London

LONDON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A London man has been arrested on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop, according to the London Police Department.

Officials say 45-year-old Shawn Hardy was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities reported noticing a suspicious vehicle off North Main Street in London, which prompted the traffic stop. During the investigation, officers identified Hardy as the driver and discovered several items of contraband in plain view, including heroin and other narcotics.

Police say their investigation into Hardy is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
