Man arrested for attempted murder after November assault in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A man has been arrested for attempted murder following an assault that occurred on November 2.

According to the Lexington Police Department, detectives were called to a local hospital on November 4 after a female victim was admitted with injuries from a physical assault. Investigators determined the assault had occurred in the 4100 block of Georgetown Road two days earlier. Based on their findings, detectives identified the suspect and obtained a warrant for attempted murder.

On December 3, 2024, Georgetown Police arrested 31-year-old Deon Fields on the attempted murder warrant, along with unrelated charges. Fields is currently being held at the Scott County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Fayette County.
