Fundraising festival Saturday for injured Scott County deputy

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fundraising festival is planned for Saturday, November 3, in Georgetown for injured Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy Jaime Morales.

The 217 Strong Festival will be held at the Cardome Center from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event will feature a “Triple Threat” 5K sponsored by Fisticuffs Gym.  There will also be ‘live’ music, food trucks and a car show, according to festival organizers.

Tickets are $20 or $15 for people who wear a 217 Strong t-shirt.

All the proceeds will go to Deputy Morales, who was paralyzed after being shot in the line of duty.
