Bicyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in Lexington crash

Incident occurred on Lane Allen Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Police are investigating after a bicyclist was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon in Lexington.

Officials say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Lane Allen Road near Garden Springs Drive. Authorities say the bicyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene following the crash.
