Man arrested for 2017 shooting following soccer game
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man for wanton endangerment, after they say he opened fire after a soccer game in July of 2017.
According to police, the shooting happened at Coolavin Park on West Sixth Street.
They say Juan Esparza began arguing with another person following a soccer game, which led him to get a gun from his car and start firing into the air and ground.
Police say no one was injured.
Esparza will answer to wanton endangerment charges in court Friday.
