Laurel Co. man faces drug trafficking charges

Cleve Smith scheduled for court next week

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A man arrested on drug trafficking charges is set to appear in court next week. London police report that 52-year-old Cleve Smith was taken into custody on Saturday during an ongoing investigation. Officers noted that their K-9 unit alerted them to suspected methamphetamine and a firearm during Smith’s arrest.

According to court records, Smith is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
