Man accused of shooting brother in Pike County

MCCARR, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is accused of shooting his own brother in Pike County.

Kentucky State Police say troopers were called about a shooting around 12 p.m. Thursday in the Peter Fork community.

Troopers say the victim, Kevin Adkins, was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

They determined he had been shot by his brother, David Adkins.

David Adkins was arrested on several unrelated charges.

State Police say he will also be charged with assault.
