Jeff Session cancels Louisville visit
LOUSIVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – United State Attorney General Jeff Sessions will not appear in Louisville Friday as scheduled.
Sessions was expected to discuss efforts to combat the opioid crisis in the state.
Sessions’ office did not say why he canceled the event but the announcement came shortly before the Justice Department announced an arrest in connection to 12 package bombs addressed to high-profile Democratic figures including former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton.
The Justice Department is expected to hold a press conference on the arrest Friday afternoon.
