Letcher County cyclist hit and killed in Virginia

CLINTWOOD, VA (WTVQ) – A Letcher County bicyclist was hit and killed while riding near Clintwood, Virginia, according to Virginia State Police.

Investigators say a pickup truck hit 59-year old Stewart Gay, of Jackhorn, Kentucky, from behind.  He was rushed to an area hospital, where he died, according to VSP.

So far, no charges have been filed against the driver of the pickup truck.

The investigation in Dickenson County, Virginia continues.
