Lexington’s summer swim season draws to a close

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The summer swimming season is nearing its end in Lexington, as the city’s Parks and Recreation Department announces the upcoming closures of public pools.

Most of the city’s public swimming facilities will shut their gates next week. Castlewood, Southland, and Tates Creek pools will all close on Tuesday, August 13.

However, Shillito and Woodland pools will remain open for a post-season period, operating with limited hours from August 14 through September 2.
