Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control seeks help locating animal cruelty suspects
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control is seeking the public’s assistance in locating three individuals accused of animal neglect.
Officials say Catherine Meriwether, Demetrius Clay, and Adriana Meriwether moved out of their house on Emerson Drive, leaving behind two dogs in crates without food or water. The neglect led to the death of one dog, while the other is alive and receiving treatment.
The suspects face two counts of animal cruelty each. Authorities urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals to contact the Lexington Police Department.
