Beloved crossing guard hangs up the whistle after 44 years
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Closer to home, for forty four years, Mary Richardson has been helping students get to school safely, but this week she’s hanging up the whistle.
The Lexington Police Department posted pictures thanking Richardson for her service.
The eighty four year-old worked along Chantilly Street and Deauville Drive during her time as a crossing guard.
