I-64 crash shuts down interstate

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — An injury collision on mile marker 83 of I-64 Eastbound temporarily shut down the highway earlier Monday.

According to police, a vehicle hydroplaned and flipped onto its roof. Fortunately, the sole occupant involved sustained only very minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

The highway has since been reopened, and traffic is now moving smoothly. Authorities remind drivers to exercise caution, especially in wet conditions, to prevent such incidents.
