Nick Mingione gifted custom Nike shoes by his players

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Kentucky head men’s baseball coach Nick Mingione has some new swag on his feet after his players gifted him custom Nike shoes on Thursday.

The gift was given after Mingione’s press conference where he unveiled new hitting coach Chase Slone. Evan Byers and several other players presented the kicks to Mingione in a custom box in honor of his National and SEC Coach of the Year selections. Those honors are printed on the sides of the shoes.

The Men’s College World Series and SEC Regular Season Champions logos are stitched on the tongues of the shoes. Every player’s name from this past season’s team is printed on the shoes as well.
