Registered sex offender arrested for being near playground

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Danville take a registered sex offender into custody Tuesday, saying he violated restrictions against being near a playground.

Police say they responded to a complaint that 44-year-old Jamie Lee Palmer was visiting a public playground while playing a mobile game.

Police say they investigated the complaints and got a warrant for Palmer’s arrest.

He was arrested at his home.

Palmer was being held in the Boyle County Detention Center.
