Arrest made in connection with multiple robberies in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police have arrested a suspect linked to several robberies that occurred on July 7, 2024.
Around 6:02 p.m. on July 7, officers were dispatched to the Speedway on the 1200 block of New Circle Road for an attempted robbery. The suspect, armed with a weapon, entered the store and demanded money before leaving.
Approximately 30 minutes later, at 6:35 p.m., officers were called to the Clark’s Pump and Shop on Detroit Avenue for a similar incident. The suspect, again armed, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount.
Later that evening, around 7:25 p.m., officers responded to an assault at the Sam’s Club on New Circle Road. The suspect attempted to steal money and struck an employee with a weapon before escaping.
Justin Clark, 31, was arrested on July 13, 2024, after an officer allegedly found him riding a stolen bicycle. Clark has been charged with three counts of Robbery 1st Degree in connection with the robberies, and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition All Others for the stolen bicycle. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
