Urban service boundary expansion in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The city of Lexington is showcasing its latest designs for the Urban-Boundary Expansion Project. This follows the Urban County Council’s approval last year to expand the boundary in five locations across Fayette County.

The latest draft designs feature proposals for trails, town centers, and neighborhoods, reflecting the city’s vision for sustainable growth and community development.

Lexington’s Division of Planning will present the final plan in October. City officials are inviting residents to review the latest designs and provide feedback during an open house event Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lexington Senior Center on Life Lane.

This open house is an opportunity for the community to engage with the planning process and help shape the future of Lexington’s urban development.
