Several displaced after apartment fire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Several residents are now without a home following an apartment fire on Thursday night. The Lexington Fire Department responded to a call in the 2800 block of Alumni Drive just before 8:15 p.m.

When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from the apartment. The fire was promptly put out, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the fire has displaced the residents of the affected apartment.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
