Arrests in human trafficking and prostitution investigation in Richmond

UPDATE:

RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Richmond Police Department has made two arrests and issued three citations following the execution of a search warrant at Fuji Health Studio on July 11, 2024.

Alicia Young, 62, of Richmond, KY, was arrested and charged with promoting human trafficking, promoting prostitution involving two or more prostitutes, practicing massage therapy without a license, and operating a sham or front company.

Shizhe Jin, 54, of Louisville, KY, was also arrested and faces charges of promoting human trafficking, promoting prostitution involving two or more prostitutes, practicing massage therapy without a license (four counts of facilitation), and operating a sham or front company.

Additionally, Dahe Jung, 45, of Astoria, NY, Eun Jung Kim, 52, of Los Angeles, CA, and Seunghee Kim, 44, of Brooklyn, NY, were cited for promoting prostitution and practicing massage therapy without a license.

The investigation began on May 9, 2024, when Richmond Police received a complaint and tips from Crime Stoppers regarding suspicious activities at Fuji Health Studio. Officers conducted over 250 hours of surveillance before executing the search warrant. Evidence processing may lead to additional charges as detectives continue their investigation.

RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Police in Madison County are investigating a suspected prostitution and human trafficking operation at a massage studio in Richmond.

Authorities searched the Fuji Health Studio on South Porter Drive on Thursday after obtaining a search warrant.

The investigation is ongoing, and officers say more information will be released as it becomes available.
