Wreck closes part of New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An injury crash has closed lanes of New Circle Road.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the wreck happened on the inner loop near the Leestown Road interchange and involved a vehicle towing a boat.

The vehicle hit two trees off the roadway, according to crews.

The cabinet says traffic was backed up past Old Frankfort Pike as a result of the wreck.
