Fans Going To Kentucky-Louisville Game Can Expect Traffic Delays In Woodford County

Here’s a traffic alert for fans traveling to Lexington on Saturday for the Kentucky – Louisville football game, especially those coming from Louisville and other points west of Frankfort.

A seven-mile stretch of U.S. 60 between Frankfort and Versailles will be reduced to one lane in each direction due to an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project. The closure will be the lefthand or “fast” lane in each direction.

Motorists who plan to take Interstate 64 to Exit 58 – the U.S. 60 Frankfort-Versailles exit – to get to Commonwealth Stadium should expect delays.

Alternative routes to Lexington from I-64 eastbound include:

Exit 65 to U.S. 421/Leestown Road in Midway. Follow U.S. 421 into Lexington. Turn right onto U.S. 68/Harrodsburg Road/South Broadway. Take a left onto Waller Avenue.
After the I-64/I-75 split, take Exit 113 on U.S. 68/Harrodsburg Road/South Broadway. Take a left onto Waller Avenue.
