Arrest made in North Broadway shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that occurred on North Broadway earlier this month.
On June 14, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers were sent to the 1900 block of North Broadway following reports of a shooting. When they got there, police say they found a male victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had left the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives, utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, license plate readers, and traffic cameras, say they were able to identify the suspect as 18-year-old Jayden Walker. Walker was arrested on Tuesday (6/24), and has been charged with Assault 1st (Complicit) and Receiving Stolen Property valued at $10,000 or more. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
