Overnight shooting under investigation in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A shooting was reported overnight in Lexington, occurring just before midnight on Third Street. According to police, the victim was driving when he heard a noise and then felt pain after being shot in the shoulder.

The victim managed to drive home and called 911. He was subsequently taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are currently searching for the suspect involved in the shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lexington Police Department.
