Woman identified in fatal Laurel County crash

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A tragic accident near London in Laurel County has resulted in the death of 64-year-old Edith Taylor and left a seven-year-old child hospitalized. According to deputies, the incident occurred Wednesday, when Taylor drove into the path of a pickup truck while pulling out of a parking lot on State Road 638.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the young passenger in Taylor’s car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
