Garbage pickup to begin an hour earlier in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — In response to the rising temperatures this week, the city of Lexington has announced that garbage collection will begin earlier than usual.

City officials stated that garbage pick-up for businesses will start around 3:30 a.m., while residential collection will commence at approximately 4:30 a.m. This adjustment is made to ensure the safety and comfort of the sanitation workers during the heatwave.
