Winchester firefighter awaits results after 12-hour brain surgery
WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWSNOW) — The Winchester Fire Department is asking for your help in raising money for Logan Crigler, a firefighter who is in the hospital after doctors found a brain tumor.
“At this time, he does have some blurred vision, he has some nauseousness, he has some dizziness,” Fire Chief Whitely said. “He’s lost a tremendous amount of weight, and we just want to bring awareness to his story.”
On May 29th, Crigler was going through routine training and started to feel dizzy. After he failed to make a full recovery, Whitely says they sent him to the hospital. Doctors found a 1 1/2-inch brain tumor; Crigler then underwent a 12-hour brain surgery.
He is now at the Gateway Rehabilitation Unit awaiting the results from the surgery.
Fellow firefighters say the fire station is not the same without Crigley, and they’re hoping he has a speedy recovery.
If you would like to donate, you can head to Crigler’s page on the Yard Foundation. All proceeds go to Crigler and his family.
