Treatment options for drug or alcohol addiction

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – More help is available for those who struggle with drug or alcohol addiction.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear released the state’s drug overdose fatality report, last week on June 6. The report showed a decline in drug overdose deaths in Kentucky in 2023.

Gov. Beshear said that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.

At the start of 2024, the innovative recovery ready programs were launched in various counties. This program has helped almost 750,000 Kentuckians according to Gov. Beshear.

Roaring Brook Recovery Center, a treatment center in Lexington, has multiple options available to those with drug or alcohol addiction.

The center offers an intense outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, as well as a sober living area. Gov. Beshear said that Kentucky leads the country in residential drug and alcohol treatment beds per capita.
