LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The UK Trauma Program is hosting an educational event open to the public Thursday to teach bystanders how to assist during emergencies. The event will take place at Lexington Fire Department Station 20 on Arrowhead Drive from 4 to 6 PM.

As part of National Stop the Bleed Day, members of the UK Trauma Team will provide hands-on simulations to demonstrate basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding.
