Boaters rescued from the Kentucky River in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Boaters are now safe after a late-night rescue from the Kentucky River earlier this week. The Frankfort Fire Department reported that rescue crews responded to a distress call about a sinking boat on the river.

Two rescue teams were deployed to the scene to assist the boaters. Fortunately, the fire department confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
