Xander Schauffele wins his first major title at the 2024 PGA Championships at Valhalla

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – It was a thrilling, down to the wire finish at Valhalla Golf Club on Sunday.

Bryson DeChambeau finished with a nice birdie on hold 18 to tie for the lead with Xander Schauffele at -20.  Xander Schauffele, however, birdied his last hole to bring his score to -21 to win the 2024 PGA Championships and hoist the Wanamaker trophy.

The California native led each round of the tournament, shooting a course record 62 in round one. This is Schauffele’s first career major victory, and his first PGA Tour win since 2022.

Bryson DeChambeau finished second at -20, followed by Vikton Hovland at -18.
