Search is on for dog accused of biting child in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -In Clark County, authorities are actively searching for the owner of a dog accused of biting a child at Legacy Grove Park in Winchester over the weekend.

According to the Clark County Animal Shelter, the dog in question is described as a large, black pit bull with a shaved spot on its right side. The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, and officials believe the owner of the dog was present at the park during the time of the incident. However, efforts to locate the owner have been unsuccessful thus far.

Officials at the shelter emphasize the importance of obtaining information regarding the dog’s vaccination status. They urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact either the Animal Shelter or the Health Department.

The search for the dog’s owner continues as authorities work to ensure the safety of the community and address concerns surrounding the incident at Legacy Grove Park.
