Crews work partial collapse of Garrard County home

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lancaster City Fire and Rescue responded to a two-story, partial structure collapse in the area of Richmond Rd. about 3:45 this morning.

Two residents were reported to be inside the building at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival, emergency units confirmed that both occupants had safely exited the structure with no injuries reported.

Garrard County Emergency Management coordinated with the residents and arranged for resources through the American Red Cross.

Lancaster City Fire & Rescue personnel successfully disconnected utilities and secured the scene. Additional support was provided by Lancaster Ky Police Department, Garrard County EMS, Bluegrass 911 Communications, and various utility companies.

It’s not clear what caused the partial collapse of the house.
